2022 Summer Conference

After a long pandemic, the Michigan Association of Conservation Districts and its partners are extremely excited to meet in person, once again for our annual Summer Conference! MACD has been working closely with our various partners to develop a comprehensive schedule packed into two days of informative training and content. Stay up-to-date on cutting edge techniques and approaches to the litany of conservation work being done throughout Michigan. Connect and network with colleagues from around the state. Join us for our 2022 Summer Conference, and reunite with old and new friends in conservation!

 MANY THANKS OUR GENEROUS SPONSORS!

COVID-19 Protocols

As you may have heard, our partners at NRCS will not be attending the Summer Conference in person. Their sessions will be moving remotely, with their staff presenting via a video conference projection in the conference spaces. With COVID-19 numbers creeping up again throughout the State of Michigan, MACD is strongly encouraging everyone attending the Summer Conference to wear a mask throughout the hotel and other public spaces. We will have disposable masks available and there will be sanitation stations throughout the conference center. We encourage folks to regularly sanitize their hands accordingly throughout the conference. In addition, we encourage registrants to take a COVID-19 home test or get tested at a local testing facility 24 hours before leaving for the conference. In the event that you or any of your local colleagues test positive, MACD is willing to offer a refund in these cases. Otherwise, there will be no refunds offered after 6/2 for any other reason, due to MACD having a small staff with limited capacity to process refunds.

Everyone has their own comfort level with masking or other precautions, and we ask that everyone please remain respectful of their fellow conference attendees. If you have not yet vaccinated against COVID-19, MACD strongly encourages you to vaccinate for your safety and the safety of others around you. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to MACD Executive Director Dan Moilanen
