Washtenaw Conservation District will host a Native Plant Swap on Sunday, October 16th from 1pm to 2:30pm at the Ypsilanti District Library (5577 Whittaker Rd., Ypsilanti 48197). All gardeners are welcome to come to the potluck style event and bring a plant to pass. This event allows gardeners to share extra native plants from their yard or look for a few native plants to add. You are also welcome to attend to learn more about native plants, practice your identification skills, help others select appropriate plants for their sites, or socialize with native plant enthusiasts! If you aren't interested in swapping plants, you can bring gloves and a trowel to help weed and plant extra plants along the edges of the detention basin and/or pollinator garden at the Ypsilanti District Library.
