2023 Summer Conference: MACD Announces Launch of New Web Store, with Limited Custom Poster Print by Justin Santora
Just now, at the 2023 MACD Summer Conference, MACD announced the grand opening of our new Web Store! We setup this webstore to streamline and simplify purchases from MACD. Go to www.macdstore.org now to place your pre-order of the 2023 MACD Poster by Justin Santora.
As a celebration of all things conservation, MACD commissioned flat stock artist Justin Santora to create original artwork that we could sell to raise additional revenue for the association. These will be a 7-color silk-screen 18”x24” print, perfect to frame and hang at the home or field office!
This poster is limited to a single run of 250 prints, once the prints are all sold, the screens will be destroyed and we will never re-print this art again. This is your chance, get your order in today before they’re gone! Posters are expected to ship around late July 2023. Purchase includes a mail tube that the print will be rolled and shipped in.
If these sell well, we’ll commission another artist for a new poster print next year!
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Justin Santora grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a degree in studio art and secondary education. Instead of pursuing a career as a teacher, Santora began working as a freelance illustrator and screen printer like some of Chicago’s well-known rock poster artists. Justin has been producing screen printed posters, art, paintings, and illustrations professionally since 2008.
Much of Santora’s work is focused around images of quiet rural or suburban settings, construction, decay, architecture, and large open spaces. His approach is also informed by an interest in construction, decay, environmentalism, and animal rights, as well as a lifelong passion for skateboarding and punk rock. Santora has exhibited work in various cities in North America, Europe, and Asia. He currently lives in Chicago where he continues to draw and paint in his home studio.
