Kalkaska Conservation District will host a Forest Owner Field Day on Friday, August 25th at 10am. Jon Kalkaska CD on the 40 acres owned by Kalkaska County off Adams Rd. and East M-72. The event will start off with a talk about forest health, tree planting, logging, and more with Foresters Larry Czelusta and Carl Eklund. After lunch Lindsey Bona-Eggeman, Program Coordinator with CAKE-CISMA, will discuss the importance of knowing and managing invasive species on your property. Julie Crick, Natural Resources Educator with MSU-E, will then give an overview of Forest Forensics.

This event will take place outside, rain or shine. 

Attendance is $15 per person which includes a day of learning, lunch, and light refreshments.
