MACD Opens Call for Speakers for 2026 Annual Conference
LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Association of Conservation Districts is now accepting speaker proposals for its 2026 Annual Conference, scheduled for October 20–22, 2026 at the Lansing Center.
The 2026 conference theme, Michigan Conservation: Empowering Communities and Ecosystems, will highlight innovative conservation efforts, partnerships, and practical solutions supporting Michigan communities, natural resources, and working lands.

MACD is seeking educational session proposals from conservation professionals, educators, researchers, technical specialists, producers, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and community leaders. Proposed sessions may address a wide range of conservation-related topics, including science-based research, implementation strategies, outreach and communication, leadership development, organizational management, and collaborative conservation efforts.
Conference organizers welcome a variety of session formats, including:
- Technical presentations
- Panel discussions
- Hands-on workshops
- Interactive learning sessions
- Creative educational programming

Session proposals must be submitted by Monday, June 15, 2026. Applicants will be notified of selection decisions by July 9, 2026. Selected speakers will receive discounted conference registration information following acceptance.
All conference sessions must be educational. Organizations interested in promoting products or services are encouraged to explore sponsorship opportunities at the conference.
